Here&#8217;s how to look after your wellbeing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Going home for summer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whether it&#8217;s the change of routine or not looking forward to where you&#8217;ll be staying, summer break can present unique challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some tips to help support your wellbeing as you transition from university to home life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stay connected<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Returning home can be a lonely experience. Think about how you&#8217;ll stay connected with friends from university to avoid feeling isolated: video calls? Texting about what you\u2019re doing over summer?<\/p>\n<p>Keep in touch to maintain the friendships you&#8217;ve built during the year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Try to plan for difficult circumstances<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If there are specific events that you&#8217;re nervous about (e.g. family tension), consider a plan of action to protect your wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if x happens, I am going to\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Politely leave the conversation.<\/li>\n<li>Go on a walk to clear my head.<\/li>\n<li>Text a friend for distraction or comfort.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Take time for yourself and enjoy the break<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Summer break is your well-deserved time away from deadlines. Uni summers are a unique time of life, and you only have a few. Whether it&#8217;s reading a book, practicing yoga, or simply taking a nap, make sure to prioritise self-care and give yourself the time you need to recharge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seek support when you need it<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"article__content\">\n<p>We\u2019re still here for you during the summer vacation.
