{"id":837,"date":"2025-10-21T14:08:46","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T13:08:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/student-news\/?p=837"},"modified":"2025-10-29T11:05:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T11:05:10","slug":"exams-inclusive-learning-plan-requests-deadline-7-nov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/student-news\/2025\/10\/21\/exams-inclusive-learning-plan-requests-deadline-7-nov\/","title":{"rendered":"Exam Adjustment requests deadline, 7 Nov"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>What is an Inclusive Learning Plan?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/support\/inclusive-learning-plans\">Inclusive Learning Plans (ILPs)<\/a> specify reasonable adjustments for your programme of study, including assessments, and exams.\u00a0You will usually be asked to provide medical evidence.\u00a0You should\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student-support\/contact-us\">contact Student Support and Wellbeing<\/a> (SSW)\u00a0as soon as possible if you think you might need adapted arrangements for exams.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>When is the ILP deadline to apply for term 1 exams?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The deadline for applying for an ILP for term 1 exams is <strong>Friday 7 November.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you think you may need adjustments, you need to contact Student Support and Wellbeing before this date. You can email <a href=\"mailto:kentSSW@kent.ac.uk\">kentSSW@kent.ac.uk<\/a> to request this.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>If you have had adjustments before, it is helpful if you can send this to SSW in advance.\u200b<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you miss the 7 November deadline, we cannot put in place adjustments for term 1 exams, but we can ensure adjustments for future exams are in place.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Disability drop-in sessions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Student Support and Wellbeing are also running <a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/support\/wellbeing#events\">Disability drop-in sessions<\/a> where you can discuss an ILP on Mondays between 15:00 and 16:00 and Thursdays 9:30-10:30.
