Over the summer, most of our campus laundries have been upgraded to a new provider, WashCo, to give students a more reliable and user-friendly experience. Woolf College is a little different – our Woolf Accommodation is managed by UPP, who have chosen to continue with Circuit Laundry.<\/p>\n

What does this mean for you? Consistency! If you\u2019ve used Circuit before, you\u2019ll already know how it works – no need to learn a new app or system. For new students, Circuit is straightforward to use: just download the app<\/a>, top up your account, and you\u2019re good to go.<\/p>\n

The laundry rooms at Woolf remain fully equipped, and you\u2019ll have the same convenience of on-site facilities whenever you need them.<\/p>\n

Laundries elsewhere on campus<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Park Wood, Tyler Court, Becket Court, Keynes College and Turing College laundries<\/strong>, are all run by our new provider WashCo. With WashCo, doing laundry on campus is designed to be easier and more student-friendly. Their modern machines are simple to use, energy-efficient, and even adjust to your load so you\u2019re not wasting time or money. They\u2019re also focused on sustainability, using less water and energy, which makes them kinder to the planet as well as your wardrobe. Altogether, WashCo brings a smoother, more reliable experience to everyday laundry on campus.<\/p>\n

Laundry at Giles Court<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Our brand-new building, Giles Court, will have its very own laundry facilities on-site. As with any new development, there\u2019s a little more work to be done before everything is fully ready for use. In the meantime, we\u2019re asking residents to use the laundry facilities at Keynes College<\/strong>. We\u2019ll let you know as soon as the Giles Court laundry is up and running – and once it is, you\u2019ll have the convenience of fresh, modern machines right in your building<\/p>\n

Your One-Stop Guide to Campus Laundry with WashPoint<\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you\u2019re looking for where to do laundry on campus, the WashPoint page for University of Kent<\/strong><\/a> is super handy. You can use the map to find your nearest launderette, download the app<\/a>, check in real-time if machines are available (no wandering across campus only to find every washer in use), and even get notifications when one frees up. The page explains how everything works, from paying with contactless (cards, GPay, Apple Pay etc.) to the eco-friendly perks (energy-efficient machines, tree-planting, etc.). It\u2019s basically your one-stop shop to plan laundry without the usual guesswork.<\/p>\n

Know the Machines<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Most residences use shared washers and dryers. Check the instructions posted nearby so you don\u2019t waste time or money.<\/p>\n

How do I use the new machines?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

  1. Choose your machine (washing machine or tumble dryer)<\/li>\n
  2. Load the machine with your washing (3\/4 full) and close the door<\/li>\n
  3. Select the programme you need (standard wash, full cycle dry etc)<\/li>\n
  4. Make contactless payment on the kiosk<\/li>\n
  5. Press ‘start’ on the machine<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
