{"id":356,"date":"2025-09-18T16:33:22","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T15:33:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/student-news\/?p=356"},"modified":"2025-09-25T09:28:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T08:28:14","slug":"changes-to-the-academic-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/student-news\/2025\/09\/18\/changes-to-the-academic-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to the academic year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve listened to <a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/your-uni-your-say\">your feedback<\/a> through Student Reps, Student Voice Forums, Module Evaluations and more and been hard at work<strong> implementing changes based on your feedback.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are several significant changes for 2025-26 to the academic year, here\u2019s what you need to know.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Three 10-week terms for undergrads<\/strong> and <strong>four 10-week terms for postgrads<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You will <strong>study 40 credits per term<\/strong>, usually two 20-credit modules<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exams will be at the end of each term<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/current-students#key-dates\">Key dates for Autumn 2025 term<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This means <strong>more time to focus<\/strong> on the topics you are studying and assessments while things are still fresh in your mind. Plus it means <strong>more evenly spaced deadlines<\/strong> and <strong>less pressure to study over Christmas and Easter<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>These changes have enabled us to get your <strong>timetable to you earlier<\/strong> than ever before, you can find your timetable on <a href=\"https:\/\/evision.kent.ac.uk\/urd\/sits.urd\/run\/siw_lgn\">KentVision<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You have told us loud and clear that you wanted <strong>more regular<\/strong> and <strong>timely feedback<\/strong> on how you are doing in your studies.
