We’re excited to share a redevelopment at the Templeman Library in D1 on the south side.<\/p>\n
Over the summer, we redesigned the area into an inviting space to study and to engage with our library collections.\u00a0You will find a 360-degree view of this space on our University of Kent campus map!<\/a><\/p>\n This area has always been a popular study space, despite being a bit dated.<\/p>\n We asked students earlier this year what kinds of furniture and materials they would like to see in the space and incorporated this feedback to offer a range of seating and desk options, including study pods, group tables and comfy armchairs.<\/p>\n Alongside a range of diverse seating options, we will have changing displays of books, journal and magazines for you to browse and borrow.<\/p>\n These will support specfic subjects, modules and skills development. In all displays, we link to connected digital resources using QR codes for quick discovery.<\/p>\n We also welcome the opportunity for students to be co-creators in this space so if you would like to suggest theme or curate a display, then do let us know at academiclibrary@kent.ac.uk.<\/a><\/p>\n This redevelopment is part of a wider project to create engaging and inclusive spaces in the Templeman Library and we welcome your comments and feedback<\/a> to this and future renovations.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
