<\/p>\nThis summer, international students from around the world have been getting ready for degree study through the University of Kent\u2019s Pre-sessional English courses, while also making friends and enjoying life at Kent.<\/p>\n
The intensive 6, 10 and 16-week courses, available on campus and online, help students develop their English language proficiency alongside essential academic skills, from critical thinking and academic writing to participating in seminars and giving presentations. Alongside their studies, our Pre-sessional Social Programme has provided plenty of opportunities to relax, meet classmates and feel part of the Kent community.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There have already been some brilliant moments this summer! Students enjoyed getting outdoors for rounders and other sporting activities, supported by the expertise and fantastic facilitation of the Kent Sport team. The programme has introduced students to Kent Sport and its ALL Active activities, which are designed to be fun, informative and social.<\/p>\n
Away from the sports field, students have spent time together at an on-campus picnic, enjoyed some friendly competition during a board and card games session, and settled in for a film screening of Enola Holmes<\/em> on campus. Each Pre-sessional cohort has also been welcomed with pizza and drinks at a Welcome Meal at the Gulbenkian Caf\u00e9; a chance to meet fellow students before getting started with their course.<\/p>\n Our online students haven\u2019t missed out on the social side either!
