From 1 August 2026, the two students\u2019 unions will become one organisation, representing students across the new LASE University Group<\/p>\n
The Trustee Boards of Greenwich Students\u2019 Union (GSU) and Kent Students\u2019 Union (KSU) have confirmed that they will merge, creating one students\u2019 union to serve and represent the interests of all students across the new LASE University Group.<\/p>\n
The merger will create one of the largest students\u2019 unions in the country with one of the largest geographical footprints. The aim is to establish a combined students\u2019 union that opens up new opportunities for students to take part in bigger events and new activities across all four campuses of the new multi-university group.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, you can expect your current societies, activities and students\u2019 union support services to stay as they are for now.<\/p>\n
The new organisation will operate independently, as a single registered charitable entity, with one organisational identity, governed by one Trustee Board.<\/p>\n
