The observance empowers the next generation to be proud of their identity while deepening public understanding of the intertwined histories between the UK and the eight South Asian nations (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka). The 2026 theme for South Asian Heritage Month is \u2018Unity in Diversity\u2019, to explore shared values, intertwined histories, and common commitments to community and belonging, highlighting the beauty of cultural diversity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"noSpacingAbove spacingBelow\" data-text-type=\"withSpacing\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p class=\"noSpacingAbove spacingBelow\" data-text-type=\"withSpacing\">You can find out more about events happening across the UK on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/southasianheritage.org.uk\/events-list\/\"><strong>South Asian Heritage website<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and there is also a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/southasianheritage.org.uk\/resources\/#sahm-toolkit\"><strong>toolkit<\/strong><\/a> available.
