This gives you\u00a024-hour early access<\/strong>\u00a0to the application pages when they open on\u00a021 January 2026<\/strong>, increasing your chances of securing accommodation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Accommodation Guarantee:<\/strong><\/p>\n
To be considered for\u00a0guaranteed accommodation<\/a>\u00a0for September 2026<\/strong>, you must meet the\u00a0eligibility criteria<\/a>\u00a0and apply by\u00a023 January 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

- The first\u00a01,800 eligible undergraduate and postgraduate applicants<\/strong>\u00a0(including KMMS students) are guaranteed a room offer.<\/li>\n
- Returning international students are guaranteed accommodation<\/a>\u00a0for all years of study if they apply by the deadline.<\/li>\n
- All students applying for\u00a0Pier Quays, Medway<\/strong>\u00a0are guaranteed an offer if they apply by the deadline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
First come first served:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Rooms are allocated on a\u00a0first-come, first-served basis<\/strong>, so apply early for the best chance of getting your preferred room. Availability is limited for some room types, so if you need a specific room type, contact the Accommodation team as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Log in<\/strong><\/h4>\n
Once applications open in January, log in to your\u00a0My Accommodation Portal<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and create a new application for your chosen year. Make sure you use your Kent email address and check it regularly so you don\u2019t miss important updates.<\/p>\n
Group Applications:<\/strong>\u00a0If you want to live with friends, each student must submit their own accommodation application. You can then follow the group application steps on the\u00a0returning students webpage<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 3: Submit<\/strong><\/p>\n
Once you\u2019ve submitted your application, you\u2019re all done. It\u2019s that easy!<\/p>\n
We will email you by the end of January 2026 to let you know if you\u2019ve secured a guaranteed offer. If you don\u2019t receive this email, don\u2019t worry, it simply means you didn\u2019t secure a guaranteed offer, but you may still receive one later.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Receiving Your Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n
Starting in late March\/early April 2026, we will send accommodation offers (including details like your block) to all applicants, based on the order in which applications were received. We usually start sending offers from\u00a0late March<\/strong>, but offers are released in batches, so please be patient. When your offer is available, we will email your Kent account to let you know, so make sure you check your inbox (and spam folder) regularly.<\/p>\n
