Here\u2019s a reminder of safety tips to help keep you and your friends safe:<\/p>\n<h3><b>Drink spiking<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s your choice whether you want to drink alcohol or not. Don\u2019t pressure others to drink if they don\u2019t want to.\u00a0<b>Adding alcohol to someone\u2019s drink without their consent is still drink spiking. All our bar staff at University and Kent Students\u2019 Union outlets have been trained on this so they can support you. The initiative also runs in many bars in Canterbury and Medway. You can often spot the \u2018Ask for Angela\u2019 sign in the bar toilets to indicate the service is available.<\/p>\n<p>The Venue and Woody\u2019s also operate the <a title=\"Original URL: https:\/\/askforclive.com\/. Click or tap if you trust this link.\" href=\"https:\/\/askforclive.com\/\"><span class=\"markm1xiyi6a7\">Ask<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"markfz205pgcu\">for<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"markpf15zywah\">Clive<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<span class=\"markxb7yyvdsl\">scheme<\/span>. Staff are trained in how to respond to reports of discrimination or hate crime towards people in the LGBTQ+ community.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Canterbury Connected Routes<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Connected Routes is a joint initiative between University of Kent, Kent Students\u2019 Union and Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU). By joining up, we can offer support to you in Canterbury city as well as on campus.\u00a0Any activation of SafeZone on the Connected Routes will give the Kent or CCCU security control room your location, so they can offer you support. Plus there are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/guides\/canterbury-safety#refuge-points\">refuge points<\/a>\u00a0where you can go if you ever feel unsafe or need support. Find out more about the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student\/safezone\/connected-routes\">Connected Routes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><b>\u2018Zero Tolerance\u2019 to harassment and discrimination<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Our Kent and Kent Students\u2019 Union bars and outlets operate a Zero Tolerance policy\u00a0on harassment and discrimination. Report incidents to premises staff and immediate action will be taken.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Consent. Get It. Full Stop.<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The University of Kent and Kent Students\u2019 Union do not tolerant any form of sexual misconduct, assault or harassment.
