We want to change that at Kent. There\u2019s so many ways you can meet new people and form new connections. See what\u2019s on for University Mental Health Day:<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/80419\/university-mental-health-day-3\"><strong>Canterbury activities <\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Head to Nexus, Templeman Library, on Thursday 12 March for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Games<\/li>\n<li>Friendship bracelet making<\/li>\n<li>Mindful colouring<\/li>\n<li>Face Painting (11:00-13:00)<\/li>\n<li>Aslan the therapy dog (12:00-14:00)<\/li>\n<li>Nex-US International drop-in space (14:00-16:00)<\/li>\n<li>Speed conversation cards<\/li>\n<li>Positive postcards<\/li>\n<li>VR headsets<\/li>\n<li>Chances to win prizes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All activities in Nexus will run between 10:00-16:00 unless specified. Other Canterbury activities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30 minute <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/80438\/university-mental-health-day-yoga-sessions\">yoga sessions<\/a> in DG01 and DG02, Templeman Library, 14:00-14:30 and 14:45-15:15<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/80439\/university-mental-health-day-tai-chi-session-in\">Tai Chi<\/a> in Eliot Extension Sensory Room, 11:00-12:00<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/80531\/umhd-plant-hospital-pop-up-outside-the-gulbenkian\">Rehome a house plant<\/a> outside the Gulbenkian, 13:00-15:00 .<\/li>\n<li>Students from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/80441\/university-mental-health-day-folk-band\">Folkshop<\/a> will be playing folk music outside the Gulbenkian at 14:30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/whats-on\/event\/80460\/university-mental-health-day-medway\"><strong>Medway activities<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Head to the Oasis Lounge in Medway Building on Thursday 12 March for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet a cute therapy dog<\/li>\n<li>Wellbeing activities<\/li>\n<li>Positive postcards<\/li>\n<li>Chat with the Medway Chaplain<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What\u2019s on outside of Uni Mental Health Day?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Looking after your mental health isn\u2019t a one-day thing. Here\u2019s a few ways you can connect with others outside of Uni Mental Health Day:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Join an event on the <a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/events\">student events calendar<\/a>. We send a roundup of events in the My Kent Weekly email each Wednesday highlighting events for the following week<\/li>\n<li>Join a society or sports team. Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/ksu.co.uk\/activities\">student groups at Kent Students\u2019 Union<\/a> and at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehubmedway.co.uk\/\">The Hub (Medway)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Try a new sport. Kent Sport\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/sports\/all-active\">All Active programme<\/a> is only \u00a33 per session (or free if you have a membership) and you can join sports including football, cricket, pickleball, social rackets and more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There\u2019s so many different communities you can be part of at Kent. Can you do your bit to help welcome others into your communities?<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Accessing support<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Student Support and Wellbeing are here support you with your mental health, disabilities, neurodivergence and learning differences.\u00a0Specific mental health support for students includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/support\/counselling\">Counselling service<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/support\/spectrum-life\">24\/7 support through our partner organisation Spectrum Life<\/a>\u00a0(online, text and phone support)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/support\/specialist-wellbeing-support\">Special wellbeing support<\/a>\u00a0for students who have faced bullying, harassment or sexual violence<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/support\/wellbeing#events\">Groups and clubs<\/a>\u00a0including the Wellbeing Caf\u00e9, Social Running for ADHD, Board Games Social Club and Autism Model Making Club<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/support\/wellbeing#events\">Wellbeing events throughout the year<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unsure about reaching out to Student Support and Wellbeing?
