Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week is a national annual event that takes place from Monday 2 to Sunday 8 February. It aims to raise awareness about the issues of sexual abuse and sexual violence, provide support to survivors, and encourage a broader dialogue on preventing these forms of harm.<\/p>\n

Any form of sexual misconduct or harassment has no place at the University of Kent. We have more information about this on our website<\/strong><\/a>, as well as support for staff and students who have experienced sexual harassment\/violence and information about staff and student training. There is mandatory Sexual Harassment in the Workplace<\/strong><\/a> staff training which we encourage all staff to complete as soon as possible if they have not done so. We also encourage all students to complete the Expect Respect<\/strong><\/a> and Consent<\/strong><\/a> training.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you need to report an incident such as harassment or bullying, you can do this through Report + Support<\/strong><\/a>. You can either make a named report and speak to an adviser or give an anonymous report. We recommend having the SafeZone<\/strong><\/a> app on your phone, as this provides a simple way of summoning first-aid, security or safety assistance on campus should you need this.
