The aim is to empower carers to feel confident in asking for help, as well as inform the public, professionals, and decision makers, about the needs and rights of unpaid carers, such as flexible working, time off for emergencies, and protection from discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>When is Carers Rights Day?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year, Carer\u2019s Rights Day is on Thursday 20 November and the theme is &#8216;Know your rights, use your rights\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>How can I learn more?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To find out more about the rights of carers, support available, and research providing further information, you can visit the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carersuk.org\/\">Carers UK<\/a><\/strong> website. There is also specific information about <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carersuk.org\/news-and-campaigns\/our-campaigns\/carers-rights-day\/\">Carer\u2019s Rights Day 2025<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What support is there?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is information about financial support you may be entitled to on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/student.kent.ac.uk\/support\/additional-student-funding\/student-carers\">University of Kent website<\/a><\/strong>.
