A quick reminder for everyone driving through the Park Wood estate: the speed limit inside the residential area is 10mph. The main Park Wood Road is 20mph, but once you turn into the estate roads, it drops to 10mph – and for good reason.
These roads aren’t just for vehicles; they’re shared by hundreds of students who live in Park Wood, along with staff, visitors, and families who may be heading to the Kent Indoor Tennis and Events Arena, sports fields, Oaks Nursery and beyond.
Keeping to the 10mph limit helps make sure everyone can move around Park Wood safely.
We also ask that everyone continues to drive carefully and responsibly across the whole of the University of Kent campus to help keep our community safe.
