Whether you know exactly what career you want to pursue or are still exploring your options, these events are a great opportunity to build your confidence, meet employers and discover where your degree could take you.
Career Ready Week: 19 – 23 October
Explore opportunities to develop your career readiness, hear from professionals and gain practical advice to help you stand out in a competitive graduate job market. You don’t need to have your career mapped out already, Career Ready Week is open to students at all stages of their career journey.
Events will be focused on four key themes:
🌍 International Students & the UK and Global Labour Market
Helping international students understand and navigate graduate recruitment, explore opportunities and approach the graduate labour market with confidence.
🤖 AI & Recruitment
Exploring how AI is changing recruitment and the workplace – and how you can use it effectively and appropriately in your job search.
🎯 Applications, Assessments & Interviews
Practical, employer-informed sessions covering the recruitment journey – from strong applications through to interviews, online assessments and assessment centres.
💡 Industry Insight: What Is Working in… Really Like?
Bringing you closer to industry through conversations with employers, professionals and alumni about different careers, sectors and routes in.

Meet employers at the Autumn Careers Fair: 22 October
Thursday 22 October, 11am – 3pm in Colyer-Fergusson Hall, Canterbury campus.
One of the highlights of the week is the Autumn Careers Fair — your chance to meet employers face-to-face and find out more about the opportunities available to you.
Meet employers recruiting for – graduate roles – placements – part-time jobs – internships – volunteering
There’ll also be a CV drop-in, Prep for the Fair Station and browse FREE workwear at our ‘Dress for Success’ rails!
You don’t have to be a final-year student to attend. Exploring career options early can help you make informed choices about placements, extracurricular activities, work experience and the skills you want to develop during your time at Kent.
Calm admission – the first half an hour (11-11:30am) will be our calm admission period, we know that a career fair can be daunting. This is intended to give you time to meet with employers and organisations in a less crowded space before our main event begins.
