Belonging and Beyond is a programme that aims to supports racially and ethnically marginalised students as they transition into Higher Education at Kent.
The Panel will help shape the 2026/27 Belonging and Beyond programme of activities and events. The programme focuses on fostering belonging in academia, particularly for new students starting their journey at the University.
As a Panel member, you will guide Student Life teams in developing a programme that is impactful and reaches those who need it most. You’ll share your lived experience and contribute to discussions on topics such as belonging in the classroom, building positive relationships with academic staff, confidence and authenticity, and ideas to better support new students.
This opportunity is only open to students who are racially and ethnically marginalised, so that lived experience remains at the heart of the programme.
To express your interest, please complete the application form before 23:59 on 24 April 2026. Successful applicants will be invited to a 10-minute video call between 5 – 8 May. Please also keep the afternoon of 13 May free for the Advisory Board meeting.
