Following this morning’s water supply issue on Canterbury campus caused by South East Water, we wanted to provide a further update on the situation.
While water has returned to some buildings, we still have a number of buildings impacted by these issues. Following no further positive update from South East Water, we have taken the difficult decision to restrict access to campus tomorrow – Tuesday 13 January.
This means that while essential services including student support and wellbeing, the medical centre and catering outlets will remain open, all teaching will be moved online or rescheduled.
Your academic schools, tutors or course leads will be in touch with more information about this. They will be working to move classes online where possible and, where not possible, will do everything they can to reschedule your classes.
For those staying on campus, we will continue to provide updates on water refilling and toilet facilities.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.
Thanks you for your patience and understanding.
