Shaping Kent Together: Survey Season is here

All taught students at the University of Kent are invited to take part in the upcoming Student Experience surveys. The University want to hear from students at every stage of their studies, to gather feedback, ideas, and insight into what it’s really like to study at Kent.

The University and Kent Students’ Union truly value your feedbackThese surveys are one of themost powerful ways you can have your say and help shape the future of the student experience. The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete, so please take a moment to reflect on your overall experience at Kent and share your honest views.

Over the past year the University has implemented a programme of Education Modernisationdirectly informed by student feedback. This has included:

  • Introducing a university-wide Academic Advising system to better support student progress
  • Releasing timetables earlier, making it easier to plan ahead
  • Reducing deadline bunching by studying less modules at once, allowing more time to explore topics in depth
  • Introducing final assessments each term, so content is fresh in your mind
  • Providing module marks after each term, helping your track and act on your progress
  • Making it easier to find and access student support and employability services through central locations

You will receive an email with a link to your relevant confidential and anonymous survey in the next couple of weeks. Final-year students completing the National Student Survey (NSS) will receive their email from Ipsos, the independent research agency.

You can find more information about Survey Season, the NSS and Education Modernisation at Kent on the Your Uni, Your Say website.

“Every suggestion you make shapes us. We welcome your thoughts on all aspects of your experience. Completing the survey provides you with the opportunity to let us know what you think about the quality of teaching, academic and personal support and resources, so together we can continually improve the student experience. Professor Georgina Randsley de Moura, Acting Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Kent.
