399 students and recent graduates completed our Careers and Employability Service User Survey in April. This is how we have acted on your feedback.
This term, the Careers and Employability Service (CES) launched a refreshed programme of support, including live talks, interactive workshops and a growing library of self-guided resources on our Moodle page. This programme has been shaped by survey feedback from students and recent graduates about what you value most.
Live talks
We’ve streamlined our live talks so they focus on the topics you said matter most. Your survey responses, combined with attendance data, helped us develop a more focused and relevant programme of online and in-person talks.
Our offer still includes your favourites – such as CVs and Cover Letters, Interviews: What to Expect and How to Prepare, and Mastering LinkedIn – alongside new sessions, such as Finding Work Experience and Finding the Right Job for Me.
Live sessions happen every week (except assessment weeks). You can find our full programme of events at https://student.kent.ac.uk/careers/events
Interactive workshops
One of the most exciting developments this term was launching our suite of interactive workshops. These in-person sessions are activity based, giving you the chance to practise key employability skills in a supportive environment. Each interactive workshop is worth 20 Employability Points, reflecting the higher level of engagement involved.
