Carer’s Rights Day

What is Carer’s Rights Day?

Carer’s Right Day is an annual event to raise awareness about the rights of unpaid carers in the workplace and community, to help them access the support to which they are entitled. The aim is to empower carers to feel confident in asking for help, as well as inform the public, professionals, and decision makers, about the needs and rights of unpaid carers, such as flexible working, time off for emergencies, and protection from discrimination.
