In preparation for the University of Kent\u2019s 50th anniversary in 2015, the University has established an additional 100 doctoral scholarships to be awarded annually from 2012. More information and an online application form can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/scholarships\/postgraduate\/50th_anniversary.html\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you wish to apply to do research in our group please state &#8220;PhD in Physics&#8221; as the degree and subject, &#8220;School of Physical Sciences (SPS)&#8221; as the academic department and &#8220;Dr. J.
