Funding can be applied for anything that improves inclusion for staff with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and/or neurodivergences, at the University of Kent.
This could include funding for anything from a piece of equipment or software, to cusions and blankets for an office, travel (or accomodation), or even to run an event.
There is £1,500 up for grabs, which will likely be divided up so that it benefits as many people as possible, and applications can be made from 1 May 2023. If your application is successful the money will need to be spent this academic year.
How to apply
This opportunity is open to all of our members, and we have created a short form where network members can apply for funds. An application can be made for yourself, for someone else, or for a group of people such as a team, department, school or division. You’ll also need to tell us:
- how much you want to apply for
- what you want to use it for
- what difference it will make to your own or other people’s lives
- how long the impact will last
- how many people will feel the benefit
- and anything else that you would like to tell us.
Whilst we haven’t placed a hard deadline on this, we are aware of the time constraints on spend so will start looking at applications from 1 May 2023 and then as they come in if there are still funds available.
