{"id":936,"date":"2015-03-24T10:23:15","date_gmt":"2015-03-24T10:23:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/tizard-news-events\/?p=936"},"modified":"2015-03-24T10:23:15","modified_gmt":"2015-03-24T10:23:15","slug":"jim-mansell-memorial-lecture-dinner-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/sspssr-news-events\/2015\/03\/24\/jim-mansell-memorial-lecture-dinner-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Jim Mansell Memorial Lecture &amp; Dinner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2015 Jim Mansell Memorial Lecture\u00a0was held on Friday 20th March with Viv Cooper, OBE, Chief Executive Officer of the Challenging Behaviour Foundation giving the talk <em>&#8220;People with learning disabilities whose behaviour challenges&#8221;. \u00a0<\/em>The talk proved particularly popular with around 155 people attending.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture was followed by\u00a0the annual Tizard prize giving to students who have excelled over the last year, namely:<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/tizard-news-events\/files\/2015\/03\/rpackham.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-938\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/tizard-news-events\/files\/2015\/03\/rpackham.jpg\" alt=\"rpackham\" width=\"256\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>1. Best UG IDD mark awarded to Janice Newby<br \/>\n2. Best Masters mark awarded to Clare Baker<br \/>\n3. Prize for outstanding work and effort awarded to Rebecca Packham<br \/>\n4. Best mark in a Tizard final year module awarded to Emma Richards (studying Mental Health wild module) Emma was unable to attend the ceremony as she is currently studying in Germany.<br \/>\n5.
