The studentship is funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sscr.nihr.ac.uk\/\">NIHR School for Social Care Research (NIHR SSCR).<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The generously funded studentship is an excellent opportunity for someone with the pre-requisite skills and enthusiasm to contribute to this highly relevant and dynamic area of social research. Topics identified within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sscr.nihr.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/SSCR-Phase-III-Business-plan.pdf\">NIHR School for Social Care Research Business Plan<\/a> include:<\/p>\n<p>1. Transition in social care: e.g. social care needs and quality of life outcomes of adults moving between services and their family carers, and of adults moving from inpatient to community based settings, with a particular focus on the experiences of individuals with intellectual disabilities and\/or autism.<br \/>\n2. Physical and emotional well-being: e.g. supporting health and wellbeing among people with intellectual disabilities and\/or autism, people with mental health conditions, and their families and staff.<br \/>\n3. High quality services for better quality of life outcomes: e.g. evaluating the impact and costs of implementing person-centred approaches, such as active support, in community-based services for people with intellectual disabilities, autistic people and\/or people with dementia.<br \/>\n4.
