{"id":5080,"date":"2020-04-17T10:55:41","date_gmt":"2020-04-17T09:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/sspssr-news-events\/?p=5080"},"modified":"2021-04-10T12:24:13","modified_gmt":"2021-04-10T11:24:13","slug":"kent-offers-charities-free-learning-resources-in-lockdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/sspssr-news-events\/2020\/04\/17\/kent-offers-charities-free-learning-resources-in-lockdown\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent offers charities free learning resources in lockdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With many charities facing\u00a0<strong>major financial challenges<\/strong>\u00a0while also experiencing a\u00a0<strong>growing demand<\/strong>\u00a0for their services, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/philanthropy\/\">Centre for Philanthropy<\/a>\u00a0is offering a\u00a0<strong>free one day online version<\/strong>\u00a0of its successful\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/postgraduate\/769\/philanthropic-studies\">Masters programme in Philanthropic Studies<\/a>\u00a0to help professionals better understand and encourage different\u00a0<strong>innovations of philanthropy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The MA in a Day\u00a0covers topics such as \u2018Fundamentals of Philanthropy\u2019, \u2018Volunteering and Society\u2019 and \u2018Major Donor Fundraising\u2019, offering a\u00a0<strong>short lecture<\/strong>\u00a0and a handful of readings and\u00a0<strong>useful resources<\/strong>.
