Three venues are available at the introductory offer price of \u00a399 (usually \u00a3125) which includes the interactive training session and access to the resources for a year. Book your place in London, Medway or Birmingham, or contact us to arrange a group discounted session at your organistaion.<\/p>\n<p>Using a new interactive, research and theory based tool aimed at practitioners, participants will:<br \/>\n\u2022Use the contextual safeguarding approach to develop understanding of gangs, knife crime and county lines.<br \/>\n\u2022Via different characters\u200b aged 9 to 24, explore different roles, risks and responsibilities within gangs<br \/>\n\u2022Using compelling research based \u2018characters\u2019, assess the risks of grooming, entrapment and serious violence within the gang for different individuals<br \/>\n\u2022Evaluate risks in terms of gender and roles and across the life course<br \/>\n\u2022Through an interactive street map linked to the gang members, evaluate safeguarding pathways for individuals and evaluate the potential risks associated with different types of interventions<br \/>\n\u2022Explore professionals within the context of communities who are key in assessing risks and safeguarding children and young people involved in gangs<br \/>\n\u2022Explore and have the opportunity to develop a tailored action plan within a safeguarding framework for working with gangs<\/p>\n<p>Date: Friday 12 June 2020<br \/>\nTime: 10:00 to 15:00<br \/>\nVenue: The University of Kent, Medway Campus, Pilkington Building<\/p>\n<p>Date: Tuesday 16 June 2020<br \/>\nTime: 10:00 to 15:00<br \/>\nVenue: University of Birmingham<\/p>\n<p>Date: Thursday 23 July 2020<br \/>\nTime: 10:00 to 15:00<br \/>\nVenbue: Amnesty International London, EC2A 3EA<\/p>\n<p>Let us know if you are interested in attending this training email ccp@kent.ac.uk.
