The 6th Annual Postgraduate Festival on the theme ‘Understanding and Influencing Society’\u00a0 is an event open to all postgraduate students, Taught Masters and Research, as well as academic staff.<\/p>\n
The Festival is a great opportunity for postgraduates, including a number from the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research, to showcase their research to fellow students and staff through academic posters, models or displays and presentations.<\/p>\n
Highlights of the 2016 festival include:-<\/p>\n
\u2022Academic question time with a panel including Dr Ellie Lee (Reader in Social Policy)<\/p>\n
\u2022Keynote address by Ulrike Hotopp, Chief Economist Simetrica<\/p>\n
\u2022Kent 3MT\u00ae competition final<\/p>\n
\u2022Postgraduate research presentations including Clare Melvin on ‘Treatment Effectiveness for Offenders with Autism Spectrum Conditions: A Systematic Review’, Melina Malli on
\n\u201cI\u2019m not being rude, I\u2019d want somebody normal\u201d: Adolescents\u2019 perception of their peers with Tourette\u2019s syndrome: an exploratory study’ and Mark Brown \u201cI wish had learnt to keep myself safe\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u2022Postgraduate displays\u00a0and posters<\/p>\n
The festival is in the Wolff Building on Friday 20th May 2016 from 09.30 to 18.00.<\/p>\n
