Once again, our undergraduate programmes have been highly rated by our students. This year\u2019s National Student Survey results have just been released and confirm high levels of student satisfaction within our School.<\/p>\n
To select a few of the statistics from the comprehensive survey, Kent achieved high levels of student satisfaction for teaching within Sociology (overall 90%). Sociology was also ranked for 10th out of 94 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for \u2018overall satisfaction\u2019.<\/p>\n
Our Social Policy students reported high levels of overall satisfaction(90%) and Kent is ranked 1st out of 35 HEIs for its \u2018organisation and management\u2019 which includes how the programme is run, timetabled as well as how well we listen to and communicate with our students. Earlier this year, Social Policy also achieved a top ten position in the Complete University Guide<\/em> and was ranked 4th in The Guardian University Guide 2016<\/em>.<\/p>\n High levels of student satisfaction in the area of \u2018personal development\u2019 and ‘teaching’ within Social Work and Criminology are other notable achievements.<\/p>\n Head of School, Professor Sarah Vickerstaff<\/a> said, \u201cIt is pleasing to see that our students are rating us highly year after year and this reflects the emphasis we place on creating a learning environment in which everyone can achieve their maximum potential whilst enjoying their time with us and developing as individuals<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n For full\u00a0National Student Survey results see\u00a0www.hefce.ac.uk\/lt\/nss<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Once again, our undergraduate programmes have been highly rated by our students.
