The theme for the 2015 conference is: \u2018Criminology: Voyages of Critical Discovery\u2019. This reflects the spirit of Plymouth as a point of departure for numerous voyages of discovery. The\u00a0British Society of Criminology\u00a0(BSC) annual conference 2015 aims to take\u00a0criminology on a reflexive and critical voyage that explores our ambivalence over the past, the present and the future. We are delighted to be supporting a bursary for one DCGC candidate at any of the programme’s partner universities to attend this year’s conference.<\/p>\n
With the spirit of adventure comes the\u00a0necessity of critical reflection, debate and\u00a0contestation. With this in mind the BSC 2015 conference is organised around a set of plenary panel discussions that provide keynote speakers with the opportunity to present their ideas and discuss them in the round. This exciting format for the conference is intended to encourage and motivate discussion and debate in subsequent panel and paper sessions. This will provide an excellent forum for an inclusionary dialogue and therefore promote a dynamic conference\u00a0environment from which numerous voyages of critical discovery may be made.<\/p>\n
DCGC candidates\u00a0are invited to apply for\u00a0the conference bursary and\u00a0more information can be found here:\u00a0http:\/\/ow.ly\/MBhLu<\/a>.
