Congratulations to Caroline Chatwin, Marian Duggan, Roger Matthews and Camille Stengel for winning the Social Sciences Faculty teaching prize this year.
First prize was awarded to the team at a ceremony on 5 October for their outstanding ‘Inside Out prison exchange programme’, an experiential learning initiative which brings undergraduates and prison inmates together to engage in joint study of criminological topics. Dr Chatwin said ‘Inside-Out offers our students an amazing opportunity to experience the criminal justice system first hand and to challenge their own existing academic based perspectives by entering into debate with some of the men who reside at HMP Swaleside.’
