Dr David Nettleingham was awarded the Social Sciences Faculty prize this week at the 2015 Kent Union Teaching Awards, his second in three years.
Adding to SSPSSR’s recent successes at the student-nominated awards, Dr Nettleingham’s “inspirational” teaching on the BA Cultural Studies programme within the School was recognised for its provocative, critical and innovative approach, as well as for his organisation of extra-curricular study groups. Praised for his accessible style of “storytelling” and passion, the award comes during a time that has seen exciting new developments for Cultural Studies at Kent – a programme that takes an inter-disciplinary approach to the study of culture, media and society, spanning the social sciences, arts and humanities.
