The School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research, in association with the School of Arts, has arranged for a number of films to be screened for free in Medway. The films have been selected to provoke discussion amongst students as their themes are related to programmes of study at the School.
Dr Kate Bradley, who was instrumental in bringing the films to Medway, said “This is a fantastic opportunity to build a film culture on the Medway campus. For students and staff alike, it is a chance to see films that you might not otherwise see, gain insights into the making of those films, and have an informal discussion afterwards. The films are presented by Rochester Kino, a local film society, so this is a good way to build links between the campus and the Medway arts scene. Whilst there is an educational component to the screenings, most of all these screenings should be fun and thought-provoking.”
Details of dates and timings can be found on the Events calendar. The screenings are open to all University of Kent students and staff on either campus.
