One of the many international collaborative research efforts led by SSPSSR has recently come to full fruition with the publication of a special issue of the Journal of Political Ideologies this month edited by Jeremy Kendall. This special issue emerges from a collaborative project led by Dr Kendall to explore and analyse the relationship between political ideologies and the ‘third sector’ of civil society organisations situated between the market and the state. The groundwork for the special issue was laid at an international symposium hosted by the School in 2008.
