How long have you taught at Kent?
I’ve taught here full-time since 2003. I also taught at Kent part-time between 1993–98
Before joining Kent, what were you doing?
I was a Lecturer in Sociology and University of Plymouth
What are your hobbies or interests?
I play acoustic fingerpicking guitar
Who’s your favourite author/musician/celebrity?
George Orwell (author), John Smith (musician) – I have no interest in celebrity culture.
What’s your favourite sport?
Football
What kind of books do you like?
These days, when time allows, I mostly read history books
What would you say are some fun things to do in Kent?
Walking along the coastal path between Kingsdown to St Margaret’s Bay, attending performances at theatres (Gulbenkian and Marlowe), visiting Dover Castle and War Tunnels
