Expert comment: What does COVID-19 mean for UK child safeguarding practice?

Vanisha Jassal, Senior Lecturer at Kent’s Centre for Child Protection considers the emotional, physical and practical challenges facing child safeguarding practice in the UK with the pressures due to COVID-19. She emphasises the value of the work that all child safeguarding practitioners and volunteers are continuing to carry out, despite present COVID-19 difficulties.

Included is a link to an online survey by BASW, the British Association of Social Workers, who are keen to identify the impact of COVID-19 upon their workforce.
