PhD student Krysia Waldock “Faith in the World Week 2019”

Krysia Waldock, PhD student at the Tizard Centre (SSPSSR) speaks to BBC Radio Kent as part of the BBC’s Faith in the World Week and explains the reasons her faith stays strong despite her problems in getting fellow Christians to accept her autism and their continued misunderstanding of neurodivergent people.

Krysia has found that there are few others challenging the Church with regard to the beliefs in this area and that parishioners or those in authority within the Church are not keen to any make changes; a situation which often leads to discrimination within the Church.

Krysia is a passionate Christian fighting for more recognition for autistic people and for those with learning difficulties.
