Dr Beth Breeze, Director of the Centre for Philanthropy, has been selected by a panel led by Professor Philippe De Wilde, the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, to receive the ‘Starting Research Prize’ this year.
The prize recognises Beth’s exceptional achievements in conducting robust and relevant research in partnership with the charity sector on a range of topics. Her nomination highlighted a number of research studies that collectively shed light on the role and importance of charity, philanthropy and fundraising in contemporary society.
The Research Prizes were launched in the Kent’s fiftieth anniversary year, and celebrate the wide range of outstanding research across the University.
Dr Breeze said “I’m surprised and pleased to receive this award, and grateful for the university’s longstanding encouragement of research in this area.”
