Gemma Traquair from the Careers and Employability Service will be running a one hour workshop for SSPSSR at lunchtime today concentrating on late hunting for students who are about to graduate but who have yet to obtain future employment or a place in postgraduate education.
This interactive session will cover the different ways of looking for work including what should be on CVs, using social media to find jobs and speculative job hunting. The session will also look at the different ways the Careers and Employability Service can support current students and those who have graduated (CES can provide support for up to three years after graduation) in their job searches.
Though aimed primarily at final year students this event would also be useful to first and second year students looking for summer employment and second year students intending to start long-term career planning over the summer.
There is no requirement to book but if you know in advance you are likely to attend please email Phil Shore (p.shore@kent.ac.uk) or phone 01227 82 (3401) as numbers attending will determine the format of the event.
