The Eastern ARC Quantitative Social Science Section at the University of Kent are running a “Changing gender roles in work and family life” workshop to be held at the University of Kent on the 31 March – 1 April, 2016. The workshop aims to bring together Eastern ARC researchers across the social sciences and other relevant disciplines, who are interested in the how gender roles and nature of work have changed in labour markets and within families.
We welcome papers using both quantitative and qualitative methods, but also theoretical papers dealing with issues such as women’s labour market participation patterns, women’s career and leadership roles, men’s involvement within the household, attitudes and expectations regarding gender roles, role of company and national level policies on work-life balance. Submissions need to be sent by 12 February 2016.
