Once again, our undergraduate programmes have been highly rated by our students. This year’s National Student Survey results have just been released and confirm high levels of student satisfaction within our School.
To select a few of the statistics from the comprehensive survey, Kent achieved high levels of student satisfaction for teaching within Sociology (overall 90%). Sociology was also ranked for 10th out of 94 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for ‘overall satisfaction’.
Our Social Policy students reported high levels of overall satisfaction(90%) and Kent is ranked 1st out of 35 HEIs for its ‘organisation and management’ which includes how the programme is run, timetabled as well as how well we listen to and communicate with our students. Earlier this year, Social Policy also achieved a top ten position in the Complete University Guide and was ranked 4th in The Guardian University Guide 2016.
High levels of student satisfaction in the area of ‘personal development’ and ‘teaching’ within Social Work and Criminology are other notable achievements.
Head of School, Professor Sarah Vickerstaff said, “It is pleasing to see that our students are rating us highly year after year and this reflects the emphasis we place on creating a learning environment in which everyone can achieve their maximum potential whilst enjoying their time with us and developing as individuals.”
