The Centre for Philanthropy has created a new dissertation prize open to third year undergraduate students at Canterbury and Medway. The Kent Centre for Philanthropy Prize of £100 has been donated by Dr Beth Breeze and will be awarded for the highest mark for a dissertation on a topic related to charitable giving, philanthropy or volunteering.
Dr Kate Bradley, Lecturer in Social History and Social Policy, said “We are delighted to be announce this prize which we hope will encourage students to look at the issues surrounding charitable giving, volunteering and the third sector at this time of great policy change and economic turmoil.”
