Chris Shilling has just had published a Polish translation of the 2nd Edition of his The Body and Social Theory.
He has also recently had published an article entitled ‘Saved form pain or saved through pain? Modernity, instrumentalisation and the use of pain as a Body Technique’, in European Journal of Social Theory. His article, ‘Durkheim, morality and modernity: collective effervescence, homo duplex and the sources of moral action’, has again been reprinted, this time in R. Cotterrell (ed.), Émile Durkheim Justice, Morality and Politics. (Both authored with P.A.Mellor.)
