{"id":2704,"date":"2020-09-04T11:30:54","date_gmt":"2020-09-04T10:30:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/spskent\/?p=2704"},"modified":"2020-09-09T15:34:18","modified_gmt":"2020-09-09T14:34:18","slug":"the-sps-staff-promise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/spskent\/2020\/09\/04\/the-sps-staff-promise\/","title":{"rendered":"The SPS Staff promise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">As part of the SPS family, working together, we all have a part to play in creating a supportive, inspirational and welcoming community which we can all be proud of. <\/p>\n<p>Our SPS Staff promise, together with the student promise &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/spskent\/2020\/09\/04\/the-sps-student-promise\/\">which you can view here<\/a> &#8211; will help foster a strong, caring and inspiring community and define what is expected of all of us in the School.<\/p>\n<p>The SPS promise is based on a number of key principles:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#diligence\">Diligence<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#respect\">Respect and Inclusivity<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#attendance\">Attendance and Engagement<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#communication\">Communication<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#support\">Support<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This year, there is a separate <a href=\"https:\/\/media.www.kent.ac.uk\/se\/14036\/COVID-19CodeofConduct.pdf\">Covid-19<\/a> appendix to cover these unprecedented times.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><a id=\"dilgence\"><\/a>Diligence<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>As a School, we value and support diligence, nurturing it as a key principle for all.\u00a0 Our students have been accepted onto our courses and we have a responsibility to foster, motivate and develop them to realise their potential.\u00a0 Their future success requires continued diligence from both parties, learner and tutor.\u00a0 At every opportunity we will encourage and inspire diligence and offer support to all.
