Society President Marta-Teodora Constantin tells us more about why how and why you could be part of the award winning Forensic Science Society.<\/p>\n

1. Describe the society in three words: <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Interesting, inclusive<\/span>ness<\/span>, variety<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Why should students join <\/span>UKC Forensic Science Society<\/span>? <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a great opportunity to meet new people, network with experts in the field and find out more about what\u2019s going on in areas of forensic science not discussed throughout the course.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Why did you <\/span>join the Committee? <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I <\/span>started as a member <\/span>of the society <\/span>and attended various <\/span>talks<\/span> organised in previous years. They were all <\/span>really exciting<\/span> and a great source of knowledge <\/span>for<\/span> me. I joined the committee because I wanted to give something back to the society and have an input into how the society is evolving. Together with Teo, <\/span>Charlett<\/span> and Moya<\/span>,<\/span> I <\/span>hope <\/span>we will<\/span> keep up with the high standards the previous committees have set and help the society grow even further.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. How can students sign up to join <\/span>UKC Forensic Science Society<\/span>? <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The membership is free for any UKC student regardless of the course. You can sign up on the Kent Union website<\/a> and you will then be added to the mailing list to be kept up to date with <\/span>all our events.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. What upcoming events have you got for students to look forward to?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are organising a trip to Pfizer<\/a> on 21st January, and hope to visit Cern later in the year too.<\/p>\n
