It\u2019s an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our team.<\/p>\n<p>Bringing with them an internationally recognised research agenda, high quality publications that will enhance the reputation and impact of the school, and a demonstrated ability to produce competitive bids for research and enterprise funding, the new Professor will be a huge asset to the School.<\/p>\n<p>They will also have an excellent opportunity to develop their research profile, joining the Functional Materials Group (FMG). Speaking about the Group and the opportunities that await the successful applicant, <strong>Dr. Chris Serpell, Head of the Functional Materials Group,<\/strong> says:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSince starting here, I&#8217;ve always found the School of Physical Sciences at Kent to be a lively, welcoming, and intellectually diverse community, full of opportunities for exciting research.
