SEPnet, the South East Physics Network, held it’s 10th Exhibition Fair last week in London, bringing together students from across the south east to showcase their projects to employers and academics.
SEPnet Summer Placements
Each year, SEPnet organises summer placements for physics students across the south east. This provides students with a valuable opportunity to gain experience and insight into working for large organisations such as research institutions, charities and large companies in the industry, and for employers to meet students who have excellent skills in problem-solving and who can provide a fresh approach to new tasks.
SEPnet Student Exhibition Fair
At the SEPnet Student Exhibition Fair, students were able to showcase their achievements from their summer placements to other employers, academics and students. This year, there were a variety of projects and a great opportunity for everyone to network.
The Fair included a panel of employer representatives including 4Most, Ingenie, Oxford Space Systems and Ultra Electronics, who offered advice to students on opportunities and valuable skills working in the industry.
Celebrating Success For SPS Students
Students from SPS, Grace Maxted, Dominik Kiersz, James Singh, Keano Deckel de Lange, Ben Cousins, Samuel Hopkins and Luke Cornwell, all attended to showcase their fantastic projects and celebrate the achievements with employers and academics.
We would like to congratulate Grace, Dominik, James, Keano, Ben and Sam on your success and to Luke who won a prize for his project on 3D Mapping and Stereo Vision!
