The Forensic Science team at Kent are proud to have played a part in the COVID-19 effort by providing PPE equipment.
Last week the School’s Forensic Science team were very proud to have provided a range personal protective equipment (PPE) – including oversuits, goggles, face masks and shoe covers- to the Infection Prevention and Control Team at the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
This equipment, which is used by our students in the crime scene assessments, will help the trust to continue to protect their fantastic NHS staff and patients in these difficult times.
“I would like to thank Phil Marsh from our lab team for helping out with this effort. I am extremely proud that the School can play a part in the national ongoing effort to fight COVID-19 and hopefully this donation will keep people safe and well.”
Dr Chris Shepherd, Director of Undergraduate Studies for Forensic Science
Dr Chris Shepherd met with Gavin Thompson from the ambulance team outside Ingram last week to make the donation – making sure to adhere to social distancing of course!
Thank you to the Forensic Science team for making SPS proud!
