Following the success of the previous three-day events the University and Discovery Planet are bringing a new series of learning and creative experiences to the local community through a destination venue on Ramsgate High Street.
The new season starts with ‘Ramsgate CSI’ – an exciting hands-on workshop exploring forensics and mystery – between October 13 and 15. The events will be hosted by experts from the University’s Forensics department, which recently ranked number 1 in the Guardian Good University Guide.
Members of the public are invited to attend drop-in sessions on Saturday 15 October, including a relaxed event at 10am for those who would like a quieter environment. From 11am, there will be workshops on the hour, every hour until 3pm. There’s no need to book, just turn up and get involved.
As part of the on-going collaboration, local schools and members of the public will be able to attend more events over coming months:
- 24 – 26 November: Electricity: How, Watt, Why? How is the country really powered?
- 9 – 11 February: Listen to your heart. Love what gives you life
- 16 – 18 March: Earth Matters. Looking out for the world around us
