SPS Donates over £400 to charities thanks to student engagement with surveys

This year SPS pledged to donate £1 to charity for each student in the School who completed either the National Student Survey (NSS) or Kent’s Undergraduate Survey (UGS). Thanks to a great engagement rate, the School is pleased to announce it had donated over £400 to the five nominated charities.

Making a Difference Around the World

In January, we announced that students could choose from five different charities, from providing support in local communities, to providing essential funds to people and wildlife affected by the bush fires in Australia earlier this year.

We’re delighted to share that a fantastic number of students at SPS participated and provided their feedback through the surveys.

SPS Charity Donations

The total donations are split as follows:

    1. Student Minds – £87.00
    2. New South Wales Rural Fire Service – £79.00
    3. WIRES Wildlife Rescue – £86.00
    4. Catching Lives – £81.00
    5. Canterbury Food Bank – £82.00

The total amount to be donated is a fantastic £415.00!

We would like to thank each and every student who took part in sharing their opinions and feedback in the surveys. Not only did we raise a fantastic amount for charity, but your feedback will help to continue to shape the School. Remember, we welcome feedback throughout the year, so please email spsmarketing@kent.ac.uk or your SPS Student Reps with your thoughts and suggestions.
