Society President Marta-Teodora Constantin tells us more about why how and why you could be part of the award winning Forensic Science Society.

2. Why should students join UKC Forensic Science Society?
It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, network with experts in the field and find out more about what’s going on in areas of forensic science not discussed throughout the course.
3. Why did you join the Committee?
I started as a member of the society and attended various talks organised in previous years. They were all really exciting and a great source of knowledge for me. I joined the committee because I wanted to give something back to the society and have an input into how the society is evolving. Together with Teo, Charlett and Moya, I hope we will keep up with the high standards the previous committees have set and help the society grow even further.
4. How can students sign up to join UKC Forensic Science Society?
The membership is free for any UKC student regardless of the course. You can sign up on the Kent Union website and you will then be added to the mailing list to be kept up to date with all our events.
5. What upcoming events have you got for students to look forward to?
We are organising a trip to Pfizer on 21st January, and hope to visit Cern later in the year too.
